Disappearance is the first short story by J.P. Ledger. The story circles around a character by the name of Michael Walker who is a seasoned detective that has seen everything the hard streets of Chicago have to offer. Nothing seems to phase him anymore or so he thought.
After two failed marriages and burnout, Michael needed a change of scenery and moved to Parkersburg, West Virginia, in hopes of a slower-paced life. However, what he found was a case which questioned everything he's ever known. Disappearance is a suspenseful mystery that draws the reader in from start to finish.
