20 Years of agldeas
This book is a celebration of the world of design and
its differences and the differences design can make
to the world. It showcases more than 2000 works
by nearly 400 creative leaders from around the globe
who have presented at agldeas International Design
Week throughout its 20 year history. The content
represents not only the diverse areas of the creative
industry but also designers from diverse nationalities.
A common connecting point for them all is the
contribution they have made to championing design
through their inspirational presentations at agldeas.
agldeas is one of the largest and most prestigious
creative events in the world, organised and presented
by the Design Foundation and held annually in
Melbourne Australia.
The Design Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation
founded by Ken Cato and run by a board of directors.
agldeas International Design Week is conducted
annually by the Design Foundation under the auspices
of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and with
the support of its esteemed members. AGI is the global
design industry's most august body, representing
creative leaders who have been collectively responsible
for the identity design of most of the world's top
corporations and institutions as well as for countless
examples of globally known packaging, publications,
illustration and posters.
agldeas International Design Week presents a series
of events for designers who are seeking inspiration, for
young people interested in exploring a career in design,
and for companies looking to embrace design as an
economic driver.
