This book reviews the state of education and local government system both in the Undivided India and in Pakistan after 1947.It also discusses educational experiences of developed and under-developed countries. Moreover, a field study was conducted in Peshawar,a city of Pakistan, in order to find out the satisfaction level of educational stakeholders regarding the delivery of educational services.This research is an effort to contribute to the existing knowledge on the administrative aspect of the delivery of public school education and provides an empirical basis for policy making and planning
