Daniel Oman studied the classical guitar at Anton Bruckner University in Linz, Austria.
In 1998 he won 1st prize at the international guitar competition of the Open Strings Guitar Festival in Osnabrück (GER) with his own compositions.
As a solo player and member of international ensembles and groups he performed in a wide spectrum of genres, from early music to avantgarde. He played countless concerts all over Europe and the middle East and participated as a sideman on more than 30 CD productions.
Recordings and publications of his compositions for the instrument took a lot attention in the world of modern acoustic guitar music.
Through his compositions he wants to reflect on the wide variety of musical styles he is involved, but also wants to create snapshots of an inner view of the beauty of allday life.
