Omschrijving

Confessions of the Last Lowly Warrior is a disclosure of the unifying thread running through the symbolisms of world religion and myth, a disclosure providing an overarching framework for the study of comparative religion, politics, economics, moral philosophy, capitalism and the general human condition.  Through the lens of the Lowly Warrior, the Fall of Man depicted in Genesis, as well as defining themes and elements of other creation stories, can be understood as having to do with a primordial paradigm shift from a natural, unified society of equals to an artificial, polar state divided into elite and common classes, from tribal sovereignty to feudal slavery, from communal fellowship to private ownership, from collaboration to exploitation, from natural order to artificial hierarchy, from paradise to paradise lost. The “firmament” in Genesis which is said to have separated the “waters above” from the “waters below” is a metaphor for the firm feudal laws that separated the high bloodlines from the low bloodlines, distinguishing the rulers from the ruled, the royalty from the peasantry, the aristocracy from the plebian, the elite from the common, the owners from the workers, the privileged in-group from the disenfranchised out-group.

The sudden division in the basic structure of society, this splitting into feudal fragments of the unified social unit with which a unspoiled tribal humanity once organized itself, is the root and source of all the splitting imagery and archetypes in religion and myth, from the Anunnaki moon splitting the earth in two pieces, to the Nummo Twins, to the title Earth-Cleaver given to Poseidon and Thoth. Given that an institutionalized transfer of wealth and resources from labor to the elite is the defining feature of the polar feudal state, it’s plain that even Eve splitting from the side of Adam points disturbingly to the stark realization that a fundamental division in social organization and economic fortune took place, a division encoded in religious symbolism and allegory. It seems the corruption of humankind did not begin when Eve “ate the forbidden fruit" against the will of a god, but when the elite class began “consuming the fruit of other people’s labor” which is forbidden by natural moral law. It is abundantly clear it was a tree of (feudal) knowledge that grew in the middle of the (tribal) garden recalled as E’den, in “the middle” since the artificial, feudal state divided humanity’s natural unified society into the polar hierarchy of the rulers and the ruled; and that a “burning desire”, an “all-consuming lust” for material wealth is the true nature of the “fire” Prometheus gave humanity.

In myth and religion, the Sun, Parent, Heavenly, Celestial, and Masculine Figure represent the powerful and persuasive privileged elite class of owners that rule—while the Moon, Child, Earthly, Terrestrial and Feminine Form represents the submissive and meek, disenfranchised common class of laborers that are ruled. Since humanity is still artificially divided into an oppressive elite owner class and an exploited labor class, everything that went wrong "in the beginning", so to speak, is still wrong with the world today. The feudal snake that entered the tribal garden of the early earth has now grown large. The Midgard Serpent said to devour the world in Norse mythology is in truth the feudal economic system called capitalism, which even now wraps itself around the world as foretold.
