There is a new ideology in the making: "commonism," which focuses on the reciprocating movements of the commons (i.e., the cultural and natural resources accessible to and held by all members of a society). After half a century of neoliberalism, leftist thinkers are increasingly excited about the possibilities of holding and sharing resources in common. But how are the commons constituted in society? How do they shape the reality of our living together?
Exploring Commonism attempts to map these new ideas in reflections from acclaimed artists, architects, collectives, activists and theorists such as Walter van Andel, Michel Bauwens, Giuliana Ciancio, Futurefarmers, Lara Garcia, Harry Gamboa Jr., Liam Gillick, Eric Kluitenberg, Rudi Laermans, The Land Foundation, Sonja Lavaert, Peter Linebaugh, Matteo Lucchetti, Pat McCarthy, Antonio Negri, Hanka Otte, Recetas Urbanas, Jörn Schafaff, Stavros Stavrides, Evi Swinnen, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Maria Francesca De Tullio, Nomeda & Gediminas Urbonas, Louis Volont and Judith Wielander.
