Their paths intertwine when on an innocent student visit to the Mertens Tower, John feels a sting in his soul when he crosses Cain's glance. The journey will become arduous as he learns to wield his relic, encounters obstacles at every step, and begins to feel new loves and disappointments. He must find a way to defeat the most powerful man on earth as soon as possible, but he will not do it alone, other relic wielders will join his cause and fight alongside. His fate is linked to Cain Mertens, one will save the world, the other will destroy it. The slightest failure will condemn humanity to slavery.
