In this argument-which must necessarily be a short one-I shall endeavour to carry out this principle. My experience in this work has taught me that people are only sceptical because they do not know. There may be some, no doubt, who are willing to take things on faith, but the vast majority of mankind must have facts to appeal to their reason and intelligence.
