Maybe this could happen in a war-torn, third-world country — but in 2002 CANADA?

And so, just like that, the spider's web had its meager beginning — a web all too familiar yet equally unpredictable. The web is cause and effect personified, with that "three steps forward, two steps back" tango revealing a precarious balance to freedom or a sticky path to unbridled chaos.
