Boys are gross, especially Flossy's brother Rudy. He likes worms, snakes, toads, and mud- all the things Flossy hates. One day Mama tells Flossy about anther gross member of the family. Who could it be?
A story about sibling friendship and tolerance of each other's quirks. As Flossy gets older, she notices socially unacceptable behavior from her little brother. Mama helps her to understand coming of age and what it means to have patience with little children who are still learning their place in the world. Flossy also learns to appreciate Rudy's redeeming qualities.
