Historical information may be found in many of the Old Testament books. In some instances more than one book may record the same events. In others historical information is contained in books that are not normally thought of as books of history. The purpose of the Biblical History of the Old Testament is, to provide a narrative of the historical events found in the Old Testament in which the events recorded in the various books are combined into a single, easy-to-read overview. Each chapter contains its own list of references to passages in the Old Testament books, so that the reader may access the source of the information and perhaps thereby read of the events in more detail.
