"Grant writes with quiet, insistent purpose, his prose lean yet poetic. He deftly weaves sinister, cosmic horror with all too human concerns, and underpins the horror of Between the Teeth of Charon with a deeply affecting study of grief, love, and loss. A compelling story which shows Grant as a writer to keep an eye on." - Paul M Feeney,
