Those two words started our journey into the world of anorexia. Maya was diagnosed with this disease in February 2015, and it started a whirlwind of hospital stays and appointments with doctors, psychiatrists, dietitians, paediatricians, and social workers.

Our whole world was turned upside down by this disease. We called it "Vader" because it felt like a dark force had entered our lives, and we were determined to win the battle and save our daughter. Anorexia can steal everything, not just from the one suffering from the disease, but from those who love them. We fought. Not just to save our daughter, but to save our whole family.
