The concept of organizational politics and perceptions of organizational politics in the workplace evolved during the 1990s. Although the perception of organizational politics plays an important role in the organization, reasonably little is known about this process. It is necessary to explore the relationship that exists between the discipline of human resource, organisational behaviour and the environmental phenomenon of organizational politics in contemporary business settings. Given the pervasiveness and importance of organizational politics in the workplace, it needs to be examined more extensively. Based on the extensive review on literature two important observations were made by the researcher. One is the perception of politics, and the other is the act of political behaviour itself. The usual variables studied are measures of job attitude (job satisfaction & organizational commitment), Job involvement, job anxiety, job burnout leading to work outcomes of organizational withdrawal (turnover intention, negligent behaviour & absenteeism). This is a study about the measures of organizational politics on work attitude of bank officers in an Indian Context.
