An extensive survey was carried out for isolation of plant parasitic nematodes associated with date-palm of Lasbela district, Balochistan, Pakistan. Lasbela was notified as a district in 1954 with Uthal as its headquarters. The district is situated on the southern coast of Balochistan between 24° 53 to 25° 42 North latitudes and 65° 15 and 67° 27 East longitudes. The date-palm trees in the district were infested by a number of pathogens including nematodes which eventually reduce its yield. A total of six nematode species were recorded. For control poultry manure and oil-cakes were evaluated for their nematicidal potential.This information is useful for parasitology, students, teachers and researchers working in this field.
