Fulfilling a long-held ambition, 24-year-old Londoner, Anna Lawton, is trekking Nepal's famed Annapurna Circuit. With eager anticipation, she is looking forward to the majestic beauty of the Himalayan mountains, the challenge of hiking at high altitudes, and being able to share the whole experience with her best friend Tina. But Anna's hopes for a happy and rewarding adventure quickly fade when, after several apparent coincidences and a series of anonymous messages, she realises someone on the trail is stalking her. But who among the other trekkers could it be? And, more mysteriously, why?
As she continues around the Circuit, it becomes increasingly clear that Anna is in mortal danger, not just from the usual perils of high-altitude mountain trekking, but also from whoever is targeting her. A dark event from Anna's high school years is about to unexpectedly catch up with her, threatening her very life... or at least change it forever.
