A Victorian Dollhousing Ceremony is a poetic opera, an adult fairytale collaboration of three poets writing in three different, distinct styles, who tell the story of three troubled characters, two rival ballerinas (one who will become The Doll, one who wishes to be The Firebird) and a wizard/art collector of tiny things, in particular a spectacular dollhouse. When the two ballerinas turn against each other, a party becomes a ceremony, a woman becomes a doll, and nothing is as it seems. Things become magical, and all of their worlds become larger and also very small. Allow the wizard to whisper to you in this enchanting dark fantasy world.
