Illustrator, Rex Schneider, is well-acquainted with Frogville and its eccentric wee inhabitants, as chronicled in his delightfully anthropomorphic, AIN'T WE GOT FUN?, JOG FROG JOG, THE POLLYWOG PLAYHOUSE with its redoubtable troup of thespians (three-dimensional figurines), and in his own enticing version of THE WIDE-MOUTHED FROG.
Rex Schneider is an "extraordinarily-gifted artist and imaginative storyteller" whose work in the realm of poetic phantasy has been praised by the likes of such distinguised personages in the arts as Julie Harris, Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss), Lillian Gish, Chuck Jones, renowned animation director, and Rex's mentor, Carl Barks, preeminent Donald Duck artist.
Rex's non-froggy endeavors include the highly-acclaimed I'M NOBODY! WHO ARE YOU? Poems of Emily Dickinson for Children; THAT'S NOT ALL!; IT HAPPENED ONE HALLOWEEN; DINOSAURS GALORE etc. His whimsical caricatures have brightened issues of Cricket, Lady Bug, Spider and Highlights for Children. and his fables featured on the Children's Room teleseries. He is the recipient of awards for filmstrips, animated films, and amusingly engaging hidden pictures.
Rex pursues his love of illustration and gardening from his Blue Mouse Studio in Michigan.
